Aikido All Levels

Our “All Levels” classes are beginner-friendly! New students receive one-on-one attention and guidance from senior students.

How to Start: You can start anytime! Once you’ve registered, just show up at any class. Wear long, comfortable pants and bring a water bottle. Remember to show up 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Ages: The classes listed above are open to anyone age 13 and up. We also have an Family Aikido Program for children ages 7 and up (and their parents).

Nick Walker Sensei
Bio:
NICK WALKER SENSEI6th Dan, co-founder and senior instructor of Aikido Shusekai, has been practicing and teaching Aikido for four decades. His approach to the art draws upon his years of training in several styles of Aikido, and his experience in a variety of other transformative disciplines and practices, including zen, physical theatre, somatic psychology, and transpersonal psychology.
Outside the dojo, Nick Sensei is a faculty member at California Institute of Integral Studies, Managing Editor at the independent publishing house Autonomous Press, and an author, speaker, and educator known for his innovative transdisciplinary work on embodiment, neurodiversity, creativity, and transformative practice.
