Watercolor Seminar: Green With Envy!

June 10 @ 1:30 pm - July 15 @ 4:30 pm

watercolor classes

Put away those “tube greens” – they seldom resemble nature and we do not see colors in isolation. Learn to mix rich, genuine green, working from the cell structure of this secondary color. Participants will work with watercolor and use nature to replicate/create green hues through a variety of painting exercises, including layering techniques. Beginners welcome, although this is ideal for an intermediate artist. Please note: a finished painting is not the goal. Suggested materials list available at sharonartstudio.org

This is a 6 weeks seminar in the Carousel Room.

Name:
Matt Burns
Bio:
Matthew Burns is freelance artist and educator, specializing in concept art and intra-curriculum learning. His work was recently showcased at the De Young Museum. Although he enjoys all forms of art, Matthew primarily explores the intricacies of water painting, with its fluid and spontaneous reactions. As he describes his art, “When I observe the world, I am free to speak my mind. Through line, I aim to deliver a figure of speech, not fact. When manipulating color, I hope to pose for the viewer an open-ended question.” www.theartfulmatt.com.
